Our SSAT LEADERS FOR THE FUTURE course offers meaningful and impactful Leadership Development for Chorlton High staff and the staff of our wider educational community.
Over the past year we have welcomed new and aspiring Middle Leaders, from schools across South Manchester, to provide access to professional learning and training experiences. Across 5 core modules, attendees have each led a whole school project, progressing this in line with our school development priorities.
This year’s cohort has been incredibly successful with a range of projects, including:
• Developing Engagement in Reading for Pleasure.
• Closing the Gap for Pupil Premium Boys.
• Increasing teacher confidence when tackling LGBT+ phobic bullying in the classroom.
• How to engage girls that see themselves as ‘non sporty’ in physical activity and encourage them to lead a healthy active lifestyle.
• Exploring if using the Frayer model to teach vocabulary can strengthen the confidence and understanding of key terms for SEND pupils?
• Investigating how the explicate teaching of revision techniques effects Year 11 Pupil Premium students’ ability to revise independently.
We concluded our SSAT LEADERS FOR THE FUTURE course at a special event, where we congratulated our cohort and celebrate their fantastic achievements. Well Done!
