SSAT Leaders for the Future at CHS

As a Teaching School, Chorlton High School are delighted to offer the SSAT LEADERS FOR THE FUTURE course for any new or aspiring Middle Leaders.  This SSAT accredited course offers meaningful and impactful Leadership Development which will not only provide a professional learning experience for your staff but have a really positive whole school impact.  Through 5 core modules, staff lead a whole school project in line with school development priorities.

The cohorts of staff who have been accredited over the last two years have been hugely successful.  Projects have included cultural capital opportunities and enrichment for disadvantaged pupils, targeted intervention projects, independent learning projects and CPD design and delivery.  These projects are evidence-led and impact driven, culminating in a celebration event for all of the cohort.

The course involves 6 x 2 hour Twilight sessions at Chorlton High School in the following Modules from 4-6pm, this year they are on the following dates:

1 – ‘Leading Yourself’ (12th June)
2 – ‘Leading through Coaching and Mentoring’ (10th July)
3 – ‘Leading Vision and Culture’ (11th September)
4 – ‘Leading and Influencing Others’ (9th October)
5 – ‘Leading Yourself for the Long-Term’ (20th November)
6 – Graduation and Certificate Ceremony (5th February)

If you would like any more information about this nationally accredited leadership development opportunity, please contact Rebecca Cooper (r.cooper@chorltonhigh.manchester.sch.uk).

Staff Voice from last year’s cohort:

‘A really interesting and thought-provoking course. Thank you!’

‘I have enjoyed taking part in the course and feel that it has really made a difference on what I do as a teacher’

Comment from Nick Harrison from SSAT:

‘The range of projects and how they have been presented are very impressive. Some of them are projects that you would expect to be implemented by members of SLT and I am impressed at how much of a difference the course has had in a practical sense for the schools involved.’
