Winners of the School LGBT+ Group of the Year Award.
We have recently celebrated winning another brilliant award!
“Just Like Us” is the LGBT+ charity for young people. They empower through support and provide a national network to develop role models who champion LGBT+ equality at school and work.
Their vision is simple: A world where LGBT+ young people live awesome lives!
Each year “Just Like Us” recognise the outstanding contributions made by schools and organisations, celebrating their achievements during their exceptional Role Model Awards event.
This year, the awards ceremony took place ‘The Great Hall’, London. Chorlton High students and staff delegation were invited to enjoy time with fellow nominees and celebrities, such as Dr Ranj, Matt Evers, and Juno Dawson.
We are absolutely delighted when Chorlton High School was announced as the winners of the award for “School LGBT+ Group of the Year” for our GSA (Gender, Sexuality and Allies) group. The students’ speech was incredible, empowering and emotional, and they were thanked and congratulated by almost everybody in the room for their work in LGBT+ equality.
We are incredibly proud of the positive and impactful work our GSA group has undertaken to win this award, we look forward to report on their next awesome endeavour!
