Student Climate Emergency Movement

Our whole school student body have begun to develop their thoughts and ideas for a collaborative, community focused Climate Change project!

Utilising the knowledge gained during their recent, excellent training by The Carbon Literacy Project, they have conducted initial meetings to discuss the ways they may look to define, build and grow a grass roots, Chorlton Climate Emergency movement! They have already identified - Events Planning, Marketing, Publications and Training Delivery, as four main areas to consider.

Over half term, each student will research their ideas by further exploring current and past social movements and the impacts they have created. From here, they will then consider their own individual areas of focus for this upcoming project and our staff can then develop a support plan to provide specialist skills training for our students.
