NPQLT – Leading Teaching
There are three new specialist National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) for teachers and school leaders who want to broaden their expertise in particular areas. We’re really excited to introduce NPQ in Leading Teaching (NPQLT) for teachers/school leaders who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading teaching in a subject or year. E.g. head of subject, key stage head, head of department.
Who is it for?
Teachers who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading teaching in a subject, year group, key stage or phase.
What will the programme members learn
You’ll develop the knowledge, skills and expertise to lead high-quality teaching and curriculum development in your context.

NPQ in Leading Teaching (NPQLT)
NPQLTD – Leading Teacher Development
We’re really excited to introduce NPQ in Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD) for teachers and school leaders who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading the development of other teachers in their school. E.g. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) lead or Initial Teacher Training (ITT) lead.
Who is it for?
Teachers who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading the development of other teachers in their school. They may have responsibilities for the development of all teachers across a school or specifically trainees or teachers who are early in their caree
What will I learn?
You’ll develop the knowledge, skills and expertise to lead the development of teachers, including sequencing and structuring professional development and effective coaching and mentoring. Modules include: • Teaching • Designing professional development • Delivering professional development • Implementation

NPQSL – Senior Leadership
For those looking to progress into senior leadership and beyond, building foundational knowledge to rapidly progress a school or trust’s key improvement priorities – all while creating and embedding a culture that allows the school, staff and pupils to thrive the refreshed suite of leadership National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) is the perfect place. We’re really excited to introduce the refreshed NPQ in Senior Leadership (NPQSL) for school leaders who are, or aspiring to be, a senior leader with cross-school responsibilities.

School leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, a senior leader with cross-school responsibilities.
What will I learn?
You’ll develop expertise in the knowledge, skills and concepts for areas of cross- and whole-school responsibility related to your role.
