Our Year 8 Eco and Student Council, along with talented Year 8 performers, put on a show-stopping Assembly for World Water Day!

Right now across the globe, billions of people and countless schools, businesses, healthcare centres, farms and factories don’t have access to safe water and toilets they need for survival. To make a difference, our young leaders are working to not only raise awareness, but to support taking action to change the ways we use, consume and manage water in our lives.

Students were inspired to make small but significant changes by an ancient story of the hummingbird who carries drops of water to help put out a great fire. Other animals laugh and mock her, but the hummingbird replies, ‘I’m doing what I can’. This tale is used by WWD23 to highlight change, no matter how small, will help to make a difference.

“Be the change you want to see in the world”.
