Image of The World Re-imagined

The World Reimagined has been in development since 2019 and will see trails of over 100 large globe structures in seven cities across the UK from 13 August – 31 October 2022. Each globe will enable the public to experience, discover and be inspired by art as well as present the opportunity to be part of the discourse around racial justice and what it means to be British.

Each sculpture has been prepared by artists responding to themes ranging from ‘Mother Africa’ and ‘The Reality of Being Enslaved’ to ‘Still We Rise’ and ‘Expanding Soul’. They will bring to life the reality and impact of the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans and invite the public to engage with the dialogue and actions of making racial justice a reality.

Chorlton High is incredibly proud to be invited to create a globe for this culturally important and creatively exciting project. Students, supported by our fantastic Art Department, have created an amazing artwork. Our globe will soon be picked up and travel to a secret destination within our city. We can't wait to share its' whereabouts, once it arrives, and the trails are all finalised!
