Alumni Success - Rio Boothe

Since leaving Chorlton High, Rio Boothe has gone on to study Sport Business at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and compete in the 100m and 200m Long Jump.

As a Para Athlete, Rio has competed in the university indoor championship in the Long Jump, and then in the outdoor championships, placing in bronze and silver positions respectively.

Rio is passionate about his sporting journey and the opportunity it brings to inspire young people to achieve more. Most recently, he discussed the barriers to sport for those with physical disabilities in Runner’s World UK Magazine, you can read his interview in the August 2023 Edition.
