Manga are comics or graphic novels originating from Japan. Most manga conform to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century, and the form has a long history in earlier Japanese art. The term manga is used in Japan to refer to both comics and cartooning. - wikipedia.org
Coinciding with an exciting update to the Manga section of our library, our wonderful librarians ran a Manga drawing competition.
Students from Years 7-9 were invited to design and illustrate a book mark of their favourite character or in their favourite Manga style.
After a fantastic creative response, with a variety of exciting entries delivered 6 students were congratulated for their work. Judging was difficult, but in the end each winning illustration brilliantly showcased their artist’s energy and passion, as well as their skilful line work and colouring technique.
