12 January 2018

We would like to announce the beginning of Chorlton High School’s Year 8 Curriculum Pathways process. This is an extremely important time for our Year 8 students as we provide a vital opportunity for them to explore all of the different Key Stage 4 subjects and qualifications we offer.

Throughout January and into February, there will be a series of key events (listed below) allowing students and parents / carers to gain a deeper understanding of subjects, ask questions and consult with staff. We acknowledge this process as vital to empowering our students to make valuable choices about their own Key Stage 4 learning and transition into further education or into the workplace.

KEY DATES:

Tuesday 16th January: Pathways Assembly
Introduction and explanation of the Curriculum Pathways process for students.

Wednesday 24th January: Year 8 Curriculum Pathways Evening at 6:00 – 8:00pm
Introduction and explanation of the Curriculum Pathways process for parents and carers.

Thursday 25th January - Wednesday 31st January: Pathways Interviews
An opportunity for students to ask questions and find support for any concerns.

Thursday 8th February: Curriculum Pathways Process Closes
Hand in date for completed Curriculum Pathways form.

Chorlton High School offers a wide range of subjects at Key Stage 4, the variety of which has been recognised both locally and nationally.

You can read and download our Curriculum Pathways Booklet below.

We are extremely proud of both the standards our students achieve and the fact that we support students in shaping a curriculum which will ensure the best possible chances for future success. Our aim is to equip all our students with the most appropriate qualifications to ensure that they can move onto further education, employment or training and become successful, creative and happy.
