Chorlton High's mock election has energised our student body, sparked debates, and fostered civic participation.
The event introduced many to our democratic procedures, providing young voters the opportunity for critical thinking in response to a diverse range of opinions. Students passionately discussed climate change, education reform, and voting age limits, enhancing their interest in current events and political understanding.
As with our General Election, this experience empowered even the quietest voices to make a tangible difference. Each of our candidates were outstanding, as were all our fantastic 'election volunteers', helping to run our Polling Station, to collate voting papers and count each vote.
Teamwork, confidence, and respect, all while demystifying political processes - We'd vote for that!
