Belonging the foundation of everything we work towards at Chorlton High School
Feeling accepted, valued and celebrated. Young people who come to us through different pathways and backgrounds feel that this is a place that ‘support[s] their hopes and dreams’. - Charter Mark Final Report, March 2025.
Now it’s official! We are thrilled to have been awarded the Belonging Matters Charter Mark.
This recognises Chorlton High as offering the best possible experience for children who have been displaced from their home countries by war or conflict. The focus of this rigorous evaluation were students on official UK resettlement pathways (Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Ukraine).
With true Chorlton High commitment, our team has achieved the very highest of standards. With determination we advocate for every young person and their families to enjoy a welcoming and inclusive environment, ongoing learning and pastoral support, and equitable opportunities both academically and holistically.
Catalyst Psychology Community Interest Company, the awarding body for the Charter Mark, uses action research methodology to collect data, feedback and goal setting to implement change, re-evaluate and review. Their whole-school systemic approach gathered the views of our students, parents, and staff over the course of 5 months and the feedback has been fantastic!
