Chorlton High School students explored careers in law at a recent event featuring esteemed legal professionals.
Family law barrister and Chorlton High alumna Olivia Edwards, along with John Vaughn, family practice manager from 18 St John Street Chambers, provided insights into a barrister's work. Regional tribunal judge Rosemary Lloyd shared her judicial perspective.
The presentation offered students an excellent introduction to the legal field, from family law's intricacies to barrister practice management and judicial responsibilities. A Q&A session followed, giving students a deeper understanding of diverse legal career opportunities and valuable guidance for their next steps.
Following the event, Ms. Edwards, a former student of Oakwood High School (now Chorlton High), had a touching reunion with their previous teacher and current Deputy Head, Ms. Banger. A wonderful example of success through hard work, determination and resiliency.
