Welcome to our annual Post-16 event! Although we can’t run this event physically this year, we will be using this platform to share a wealth of information with our young people and their parents/carers. We appreciate that this is a lot of information to take in so you may want to spend some time over the course of the following week digesting all of this and we will be running a zoom event next Wednesday 14th October to address some of the questions you may have about post-16 and the next steps involved.

There are a wide range of qualification and training routes that can be followed after students finish Year 11. This table from the DfE outlines the main options students can choose from. They should consider how they like learning and how they like being assessed to help choose the route that’s best for them. The level of qualification or training they start on will generally depend on the grades they achieve at the end of Year 11. Students should check with school sixth forms, colleges or apprenticeship providers for their specific entry requirements.
