On Tuesday 14th February, Chorlton High School chose love! As a school, we have be standing in solidarity for people in need and raising money again for our neighbours in France. Later this year Miss Quinn will be travelling back to Dunkirk and volunteering in the Children's Centre and all money raised will be donated to the Women and Children's Centre.
Over the last few weeks students have been running a number of fundraising events with all proceeds going to this worthy cause. On Valentine's Day, students and staff wore their Choose Love badges and wristbands with pride to show that as a school and community, we choose love not hate! To round off the day a talented group of Year 8 students organised a big charity concert in our Blue Box Theatre to raise money. The audience were treated to a number of dance and music performances as well as a fantastic raffle with prizes including a £100 voucher for Piccolinos and a 3 course meal for 2 at Croma!
The event was a big success and raised over £600 for Help Refugees. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a big success!
So far this year staff and students have raised a fantastic £1068.59 for Help Refugess!
